Ghajini is the Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film Ghajini (2005) to be directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced under the Geetha Arts banner by Allu Aravind. The film is inspired by the critically acclaimed film Memento by Christopher Nolan, with the common theme of the protagonist suffering from anterograde amnesia or short term memory loss and seeking revenge for his wife’s murder.

Ghajini will feature Aamir Khan, Asin Thottumkal and Jiah Khan in lead roles. A. R. Rahman will be scoring the music for the film whilst Ravi K. Chandran and Anthony handle cinematography and editing of the film respectively.The movie is notable for Aamir Khan having shaven his head bald. A 3d game is reportedly being produced, the release of which will coincide with the audio release. The film is regarded as the most awaited Bollywood movie of 2008.

The movie is loved for its music and specially the Guzarish song. This movie is remake of 2005 Tamil Film Ghajini… It seems as this movie will be a great hit due to it’s music and Cast.

People telling goodbye to 2008 will have to hold their good-byes for just a moment this New Year’s Eve.

The world’s official timekeepers have added a “leap second” to the last day of the year on Wednesday, to help match clocks to the Earth’s slowing spin on its axis, which takes place at ever-changing rates affected by tides and other factors.

The U.S. Naval Observatory, keeper of the Pentagon’s master clock, would add the extra second on Wednesday in coordination with the world’s atomic clocks at 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds Coordinated Universal Time, or UTC.

That corresponds to 6:59:59 p.m. EST (23:59:59 GMT), when an extra second will tick by — the 24th to be added to UTC since 1972, when the practice began.

UTC is the time scale kept by highly precise atomic clocks around the world, accurate to about a billionth of a second per day, the Naval Observatory says. For those with a need for precision timing, it has replaced Greenwich Mean Time, or GMT.

Star Movies, the leading English movie channel, will unveil a new logo from January 1, which will be rolled out across its network of services from Southeast Asia and India to the Middle East and Taiwan.

An official spokesperson from the channel said “While the logo may have changed, one thing remains constant is that Star Movies continues to deliver the best films from the around the world. There was no conscious decision to make the new logo look different, and was adopted as it matches the programming on the channel.”

So deep was the cleft between the pair that Suneel Darshan had to scrap an Akshay-Priyanka starrer after a song featuring them.

TV cable consumers across the country will have to pay more for their monthly cable TV bills from the beginning of the New Year.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has announced a 7 per cent increase in cable television subscription rates across the board. But there is also good news for set-top-box (STB) cable families or CAS (conditional access system) subscribers, with the regulator reducing STBs rentals effective January 1, 2009.
