   stotra is a concise and often devotional statement about an aspect of the ultimate reality that is very often chanted as part of a puja or havan…..ie, ritual worship.

   This, to me feels, like a very powerful mantra. Can anyone tell me what this mantra is specifically used for? Is this a mantra for Divine protection against enemies, evil etc? Durga? I apologize, I do not know much about the different gods & goddesses?

    Mother Goddess Lalitha is one of the 10 MahaVidyas.The 10 MahaVidyas are forms of Mother Goddess Parvati.Mother Goddess Parvati is also Mother Goddess Durga and Mother Goddess Kali.
