All happiness may go because of huge recession. It is better to go back to our father’s era permanent job although salary is low. Hopping from one job to another is fun for young people, not for people in 40s or 50s.

Do you think we can be a super power by just growing in one field? That too we are just a source of cheap labour(majority of us). There was a huge chance for India to develop infra and facilities for Micro and Nano and Fuel cells, but the govt was sleeping, while individuals were leaving for American, English and other dreams. surely what we have developed in past years is one thing, arrogance to compare ourselves to a superpower.

I dont get it, whats the whole deal with the snake charmers specially in britain regarding india. Is it a sin?? How exactly is the reflective of India??? Every country/region has its own tradition cultural ways of idolising with life/material things. How does making whisky/beer be any good than snake charming or vice versa??

Cheap labour?IF u study well in india u can get any big job in india…Only lazy people end up as cheap labour….

  5. saikiran1711 says:

I love this whole series. I wish he would do more programs. (It seems there are only a few tv shows that he did about India).

    Very good point :)

  8. EJM0091 says:

Thanks kuldueuc. It just irks me when other people think that whatever beyond their understanding is not normal and feel free to make fun of it or treat us in low light. Its high time when such things be accepted that there all types of people with diff habits and cultures and they like doing things not the white man way but their own way and there is nothing wrong in it.

I, for one, would LOVE to see India become wealthy and powerful.
For too long the West has poked fun at India.
It’s a wonderful country and i’m proud to’ve been born there some 60 yrs ago.
Sanjeev Bhaskar is a great actor and i liked the way he commented in this series.

It’s normal for people to question or mock at cultures they don’t understand. It’s human. In India, it’s not unusual to mock at Western aspects such as the gun-culture (in USA), perceived lack of a proper family environment, divorce rates, teen pregnancy, blandness of the cuisine, etc.

    Everyone’s guilty :D .

  11. Kingsmead87 says:

    Omg , thank you …
Glad you still have the overwhelming
INDIAN feeling in you … sir !!!

I’m actually Anglo-Indian from a Christian background but that explanation is too hard for most Westerners to comprehend so i say i’m ‘Indian’.
India was one of the the most richest countries ..that’s UNTIL it was plundered by the British, French & Portugese over 400 yrs.
Once called ‘The Jewel In The Crown’ by Lord Macauley & Queen Victoria.
Just ask the Brits where the fat bitch Queen Vic got her Crown Jewels from!
I’d LOVE to see the country get it’s power back!

What holds India back is DIVISION.
This is the old trick that the Brits taught
    “divide & rule”…it works everytime .
Keep people fighting over religion, money etc and stand back and watch the fun ..meanwhile calling them “ignorant primitives”.
If only the country learnt how to UNITE it would become strong overnight. ..a formidable force to contend with.
Bhaskar would agree with me on this point.

  14. Kingsmead87 says:

    Amazing !!!
Seems you know each and every bit of India …
Brits exploited us to hardcore , amidst all these India has recovered quite well in these 60 years..
Yet , it hurts when i see some UNEDUCATED American and British RETARDS posting SHIT about INDIA … Probably we are losing nothing …
but all i can do is to pray Almighty to throw some Light on them !!!

Like Sanjeev i was raised in the UK but much before his time.(in the late 1950s)
    I experienced ALOT of racism but today i ‘ll tell any Brit who complains about Indians this ;
A minority of Asians have been in the UK for only 50 yrs and have enriched it economically..however the Brits were in India for 300 and gave NOTHING!
Retards will always remain the same my friend.
Rise above it. Don’t bite the bait & play their game.
    It’s time to unite.

  16. taildragger51 says:

    EJM0091; Yes, you’re right.
Actually the most ancient of cultures were alot more civilised/complex than the Western one today, which is a facade.
The West still can’t fathom how the pyramids were built.
The Ancient Sumerians had a maths system that would melt Stephen Hawking into pulp.
The West doesn’t have a culture apart from what it has stolen from the East along the way.
Where do Westerners go when they desire spiritual enlightenment?

  17. Kingsmead87 says:

    agree !!!

  18. TheSkumar131 says:

INDIA IS GREAT / NO DOUBT

  19. spachnzcl says:

  20. rohitkumarindia says:

but , every developing nation has slums

by your comments u r trying to tell the world that “CHINA IS GREAT”

BUT india is far more better than china

  21. 2609237 says:

    taildragger51:
you are right diamonds are thought to have been first recognized and mined in India.india was a wealthy country before British, French & Portugese took over india!

  22. spachnzcl says:

yes,i do,i want to tell this, does it matter?and u also want to tell India is great, right?it doesnt really matter, lol

  23. plumeria66 says:

Railways and the language, English, which is the reason why Western firms are outsourcing there and not China.

Give credit where credit is due!

  24. plumeria66 says:

Oh, I forgot to mention: British common-law system that Brits gave to India, which is why outsourcing of LEGAL WORK from British and American law firms have created employment for India.

  25. vrunjal1981 says:

it’s addiction to credit that has created crisis in the West…even if you don’t hit the current limit, your credit limit keeps increasing…who needs a $15000 monthly credit limit…use debit card instead.
