    if you don’t know the history of the indian empire let me tell you. their was no such thing as india until he east india trading company came. it is an empire not a country. no better than what the ussr was. if india is such a great country, why are their 6 independence movements in it to break away from india. your “great country” is one of the greatest human rights violaters in the world.

    That’s fine. I understand what you’re trying to say. Pakistanis & Indians are actually the same people – they speak a similar language (Urdu and Hindi) and have similar culture (they are different because of their religions – Hindu and Islam). The same goes with Sri Lankans – they are actually Indians but then they want to have their own country because they’re mainly Buddhists. By right, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka should be a united India – the dream of Mohandas Gandhi.

    It’s the religious extremists in these nations that don’t want to live in harmony with each other. It seems to me that many ppl in these nations r afraid to deal with diversity – it’s this fear is what causes oppressive discrimination. If they do, they’ll let South Asians of all faiths to maintain their own faiths while living in one country in harmony & progress. It’s such a pity for me to see a once advanced civilisation in the world so divided because of diversity in faiths.

    I think all those clashes and killings just before and during the partition of India and Pakistan in the 1940s is just stupid and inhuman. South Asians should try to learn from this lesson and improve their ties with each other.
